All Metal Recycling Adds Wichita Scrap Metal Company to its Fold

Kansas-based AllMetal Recycling announced acquisition of Glickman Metal Recycling in Wichita, owned by Oklahoma- based Yaffe Cos. The acquisition is part of the company’s goal to rapidly expand in the region. Further to this acquisition, the company will have three feeder yards in Wichita, one in Newton and one in Harper.

According to Clint Cornejo, co-owner, AllMetal Recycling, the purchase includes an auto shredder, which can handle cars, appliances and white goods. This in turn will help the company to upgrade some of its product lines, he said. Glickman’s long-term association with aerospace manufacturers will help in expansion of company’s operations to new domains. The acquisition of the company with a good foundation is considered as the next important step to continue its rapid growth over the last few years, Cornejo added.

As part of the acquisition deal, Glickman’s small feeder yard adjacent to AllMetal’s metal recycling facility on 21st street will close. Most of the Glickman employees will be retained, confirmed AllMetal Recycling.
